Experience

Dr. Janice M Vaughn-Knox is a 32-year board-certified anesthesiologist, who has expanded her clinical expertise to include cannabinoid medicine. Her knowledge and experience in endocannabinology and cannabinoid therapeutics has improved her patients’ experience in treating, finding relief and self-healing from chronic diseases that conventional medicine has been unable to conquer.

With a mission to deliver precision cannabinoid medicine to every patient looking for such a personalized approach to healing, Dr. Janice co-founded the American Cannabinoid Clinics with her family.

Dr. Janice asserts that delivering cannabinoid care begins with the understanding of the intricate and complex physiology of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Ongoing research continues to reshape our understanding of the ECS, and taking care of patients relies upon providers staying current with the science as the mysteries of the ECS are revealed.

To this end, Dr. Janice co-founded ADVENT Academy to provide premier training for the health professional in the ECS, endocannabinology and cannabinology. Dr. Janice serves the Academy as course director, content developer and lecturer.

In addition to the aforementioned qualifications, Dr. Janice also serves as the Oregon representative to Doctors for Cannabis Regulation (DFCR) and serves on multiple advisory boards such as GoFire, Inc., Pure Green, LLC, PRA Global, Inc. and Initiative, Inc.

Education

Dr. Janice completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California Berkeley and medical school at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington.
