Somebody is suggesting that you should “eliminate” carbohydrates from your diet?!! If the suggestion was to eat less of them or not to eat some of them you might consider it but not to eat them at all and you won’t survive….

I think it unfair to suggest men would have better care, it suggests a sense that it is ‘unfair’ that one has endometriosis. Life is unfair, as is prostate cancer. As for “accepting” women who have endo… If you’d like to “life with it” feel free. As for me, I’ll never consider myself a victim and continue to smile through the tears, give myself only moments to feel sorry for myself, search for ways to manage my disease and always, always ….always remember it could always be worse. I don’t have cancer and I am lucky to be alive.

I have endo myself, likely the cause of my infertility and most certainly the cause of my month-long pain. My fertility hasn’t improved even after lap but simply by removing all of the common triggers (sugar, limited fruit -sugars, wheat, non-grass fed meat, etc) my pain improved a lot. I still eat dairy and when I eat “bad” or even too much fruit – pain comes back. I also take vit C, D and B as well a multi-vitamin and fish oil. As well as incorporate ginger, salmon and veggies in daily. Also, I have taken to exercise daily. I am proud to share, I rarely shed any more tears :)…and I now look great in a bikini!

Never, ever feel sorry for yourself, not for more than a moment. No one likes being around someone like that and it’ll be the fastest way to ruin your life. If ever a reminder is needed how lucky we are to “just” have endo…visit a children’s hospital or even a nursing home…or even a homeless shelter. Remember, God gives everyone a ‘cross to bear’, we don’t know why but it’s fact…no one’s life is perfect. Look around with ‘eyes-wide open’ and you’ll see millions who have a much heavier burden than you…regardless of your burden. Look how many women are raped or girls sold in to sex-rings. Children beaten or born with debilitating ailments. Grieve for yourself, but only momentarily, and never complain that it is ‘unfair’ – you’ll only look stupid when the 3yr cancer patient tells you how great life is. Don’t deny your burden and allow yourself a grieving period, cry when you need to, but only for a moment, maybe a day, but…then go help someone carry their burden. It’s been proven fact a million times over – the best way to make yourself feel better is to help someone else. Go help someone – make casserole for the grumpy old widower down the road who’d given anything to have his wife back, or for the struggling family next door who just needs a break – Just help.

I used to believe that if I ate better, think more positive, etc that I could overcome the endo. The reality is that all of those things add more to the overwhelming “to do ” list of daily life with endo and create a lot more stress and anxiety when it comes to the shoulds and shouldnts of what to eat or do or don’t do, etc.

I think that being mindful of what we put into our bodies is a good thing but lets face it but there no cure for endo. Anyone that tells you otherwise either has never had it or is trying to make money off of the disease by selling you their methods.

….And another thing, can we accept and support women with endo instead of trying to convince us that somehow we enjoy being the victim so therefore aren’t doing enough to cure ourselves?
If endo were a man’s disease we would have hospitals all over the country tailored to treat endo!

Aren’t we who have it not supposed to have flax seeds tho? Aren’t they estrogenic? I also find in addition to clary sage that geranium, cypress, myrrh, deep blue and frankincense help me tremendously, esp during flares and my period or as I refer to it “shark week”.

I have had several surgeries to treat it. Unfortunately, the surgery only decreased the spasms and painful urination some. I had the last surgery July 2015. I continue to have excessive urination with a overly full bladder each time. My nights are the worst. I never get more than 3 to 4 hours of sleep. How do I combat the dehydration that accompanies the excessive urination? Do you think I will benefit from using pycnogenol?

http://www.progesteronetherapy.com check out this site, it made a miraculous difference in everything for me. So many times, progesterone is the answer. Most doctors will not recommend the amount of progesterone cream needed to actually make a difference… they just don’t know.

This is a fallacy because the body creates estrogen 3 ways, and the ovaries are only one of these ways. I have symptoms now throughout my body (mostly mid section (flank) as I work with a doctor to balance out my now increasing ‘bad’ estrogen. The nightmare has continued in that there is no liberation until maybe menopause is complete which at may age is years away. I am now dealing with tachycardia and a relapse in my graves. Be sure to explore this choice and do your homework! I am hopeful that a balance for me can be attained, but for now I’m paying a lot of money to specialists and for supplements.
