You state, “if I don’t take Kramton, I can’t sleep”. Doesn’t that indicate a dependence to Kramton?? You have solidified the very number one reason that it is not being approved.

Have you tried kratom? If you have you will notice it us extremely subtle less subtle than caffeine. Coming from someone who has an extremely addictive personality (alcohol cigaraettes) I’d say kratom is on a level of addictiveNess just above caffeine. I use kratom to deal with anxiety and depression in place of ssri benzos and alcohol. I use kratom daily abd have never had to up my dose. It works for me and when I do run out I get very mild withdrawal symptoms which mostly just affect my sleep by giving me rls. Check out my site http://kratomproject.org and it would be awesome for u to try kratom and see fir you self just how subtle it is. Pot is 100 times more psychoactive in my opinion

Take a few scoops and I sleep without RLS. If I don’t take Kratom, I can’t sleep. What I find interesting is their not much or any mention of that benefit. If you have RLS, it will take it away completely; at least for my case.

My question is why it works so well for RLS? What does it do for me?

It wasn’t a good life, and my motivation was gone.. I had started on the basic painkillers, and then found myself in a suboxone clinic.. I kept asking myself what kind of situation I would be in if I couldn’t get it anymore for some reason.. and it’s not a pretty situation to be in.. As we know, terrible things happen when you need these kinds of pain medications and your insurance stops paying, or you just don’t have the big cash most of these Dr.s require for the visit.. Being a mom of 2 children I can not afford to be sick and not care for them, I have a lot of responsibilities.. I discovered kratom just by chance, watching youtube videos. I thought I would give it a try, and I was able to taper and completely detox off of suboxone without most of the withdrawls.. It was bearable. I understand that big pharma companys would like to make this a schelduled drug so they can make tons of money off it.. so the first thing they do is put out articles on how dangerous it is to take it, when in fact.. it’s nothing compared to the medications I was on.. I agree that they do not need to sell this product to children, just like they don’t need to sell cigarettes to children. That’s commonsense.. and the whole “selling those little drinks at the store to minors” is just unacceptable. This is a coffee plant cousin that is a miracle plant (almost like medical pot) that is giving people the choice to say “I don’t want to live my life taking pain meds (or whatever meds your on), I have a choice, and alternative to not be on meds that are killing my body after long time use.” Since this is a herb/botanical it should be protected, like vitamins are.. You should be able to purchase with the confirmation that it’s not approved by the FDA. It should be a personal choice, as if I wanted to take gingo biloba for energy.. With kratom I am able to function again, take care of my family. And just so you know, I have stopped for a few days to see what would happen, and basically I felt like I was just having a coffee or caffeine withdrawl, which is a lot better than full blown withdrawl.. (where you cry in your bed you are in so much pain, where you shake and sweat and have to go to the bathroom constantly because your tummy is out of sorts, and the dehydration from not being able to hold fluids down) Lets just say that kratom takes all that away and is completely natural.. What’s so bad about that? All about bad press and the mighty dollar… but I am a mother today because I used my kratom! Now tell my kids that I can’t have it anymore and that their mom will have to go back on prescription painkillers, I don’t think that’s going to make for a happy family…. Keep doing your research, talk to those of us that this plant has saved, and God Bless You…

In order for something to be truly addictive, it has to cause disruption in the user’s life. Since a majority of the people who use kratom go from not being able to function at all and lying in bed all day, being depressed and in pain to being happy and actually getting up and out, doing laundry, doing dishes, spending time playing with our kids this is the exact opposite of the definition of addicted. Most of the people who take kratom were on a laundry list of pharmaceutical drugs before they found kratom and consider it a blessing to be off of prescription drugs. What people fail to realize is that we used herbs as a method of healing for thousands of years. It is only recently that we started manufacturing sythetic analogues. Additionally, prescription opioids now kill more people than heroin and cocaine combined. And the FDA proudly now approves Oxycontin for teens! What a wonderful government we have. By poisoning the food supply and virtually assuring that a majority of Americans get sick, the medical industry stays afloat. The FDA will pound their fists, insisting that all herbs and natural remedies are dangerous and that the only drugs we should be taking are theirs. The FDA is nothing but a big bully who lies at every turn. Even the politicians are bought and paid for now. America has sunk to a new low. The only negative side effects I’ve experienced were nausea & constipation… which opoid painkillers cause as well! I have been able to come off multiple prescription drugs, and I feel all the better for it! People say Kratom is addictive… well isn’t caffeine, Vicodin, benzo’s, tramadol, etc? I don’t experience withdrawal myself when I take breaks… but I’d rather be dependent on this plant than to potentially deadly prescription drugs! Go out there Dr. Axe and talk to the thousands of people who benefit from this plant!!!

I have 5 bulging and herniated disc’s, DDD, Fibromyalgia, CTS, CFS, Narcolepsy, PTSD (9/11) and recently due to Fibro I fainted and injured both ankles, both knees, R wrist and my neck from hitting my face on the bathroom counter when I dropped! 1st of all I have not had a drink of alcohol since Aug 15, 1997. So that being said you will understand my concerns as I tell my story. I have had a rough life, like most of the world, but when I get knocked down I jump right back up and keep fighting but 10 yrs ago when my fibro got so bad I couldn’t work, clean house of function with our something to take for pain. I started getting medications for pain, depression and anxiety. All through my life I have been on some kind of medication. Until 3 yrs ago I was able to “get by” Then I ended up on 13 different medications, I couldn’t work at all. I was approved for disability and had a total of 360 doctors apt in one year. YES I know! That just about 1 for every day of the year! Well between all the meds and the depression I came to the conclusion that this quality of life wasn’t acceptable. It was a logical decision. So I took 150 amitriptyline. Fortunately my brother in law got the police and medic’s to my house before he got off the phone with me. I was in ICU for 3 days on 2 IV’s at the same time. When I was “released” I was sent straight to The Ridge, a psych hospital in Lexington, KY. I was there for 10 days. The psychiatrist was trying to explain there was nothing logical about suicide from chronic pain. Till this day, I bed to differ! Since my release I have been hospitalized 3 more times for depression, cutting and more suicide attempts. I finally promised my Mother I would wait to end my life till she died. She said I couldn’t do that to her cause then who is going to take care of her. (she was taking care of me instead, ?) So I got back on the chronic depression pain horse again and fought to keep my head above water. It wasn’t until 5 months ago I was in a Fibromyalgia support group that a friend Kathy Turner sent me a pm, telling me about Kratom. I didn’t believe 1 plant held the miracle for chronic pain relief when the pharmaceutical companies couldn’t even come up with 1 drug that took care of my pain. It took me 1 month to get up the courage to actually try it. I went to a local head shop and asked them if you had kratom. That is the beginning to the end for me. The end of chronic pain, the end of multiple ER visits a week, the end of my depression, the end of me trying to always end my life! I started using kratom to help with my chronic pain but what I’ve found out is I don’t need anxiety pills any more, I don’t take antidepressants anymore, I’m off 11 medications now! I’m not a regular tat the pharmacy. I can clean my house today! I was talking to my Father last week who is President of AMS (America Military Society) and told him, if we can get my neck where I’m not always suffering I just might be able to get off Disability! That was music to his ears. He doesn’t understand chronic pain so he would always tell me I just need to stop being a baby and get a job. Well for him to hear me say that… even he is happy that I take Kratom! I can take care of my Mother today, who is very ill with emphysema. And life is not all about me. My day does not consist of sleeping and crying today. Some of the medications I am off of now are Provigil, Adderall, Gabapentin, Viibryd, the list goes on! Since taking kratom I have shared it with my sister, my PCP, my pain specialist and my therapist. I have also started a face book page, Kentucky Kratom United to send all my doctors, friends, family and anyone who is interested to hear who I no longer SUFFER! My life is full now. I can now become a part of society. I don’t have to rely on everyone to survive. But most of all… I want to LIVE TODAY! As long as Kratom is legal in America, I have a way up and a way out!

I haven’t developed one yet, If it’s required I will do so, please reply.
