I did not know that rosemary could improve hair growth and brain function. I am a rookie to the essential oils industry and this is really something I will have to test out. I am now 69 and in just the last year and a half, I have found wonderful relief in high doses of turmeric, ginger and hawthorn, all natural anti-inflammatory items. My joints are so much more flexible and I have lost much of the stiffness. I take morning & evening doses, 500 mg. of each item, both AM & PM. In addition, I am using probiotic daily, following guidelines to bring gut into healthy balance. The difference has been amazing! I cut dairy products and am now allergy free--previously having spring & fall occasions requiring EM Room visits for Asthma and breathing issues. My research has been my savior!

In reply to Marie. I have this same question re the rosemary oil. As well as camphor, eucalyptus oil. Eukybear rub has these ingredients and I wondered if rubbing this on skin and inhaling can cause/trigger a seizure in a person with a known seizure disorder.

I have temporal arteritis with some vision issues. Have been on Prednisone for a couple weeks and side effects were so bad had to go off and symptoms are back. I use essential oils everyday on my skin and wondering if there are any that would significantly reduce the inflammation in my temporal artery? I just started massaging Rosemary and almond oil into my temples when I saw this? Thank you.

I have a friend who has thinning hair and wants to use Rosemary. However, I’m not sure I should recommend that because she also has high blood pressure. I’ve heard you should avoid Rosemary if you have high blood pressure. Is that true?

Hi Dr. Axe, I have neuropathy on my feet and athlete’s feet, so whatever I use for athletes’s foot causes heat for my neuropathy. I wear open sandals, and use a shower filter. I also eat primarily vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. What do you recommend for my feet? They get red, swollen, itchy and there is so much skin peeling!

I’ve had 3 major back surgeries and suffer from chronic pain. A very cherished friend made a mixture for me of a carrier oil, peppermint and rosemary essential oils. It does wonders. Rubbing it into the low back helps the radiating pain down my leg. Also rubbing it into the temples and neck stops a migraine. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
