Hi Kelly, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been diagnosed with Graves. Here is an article you may find very helpful: https://draxe.com/health/graves-disease/

It’s interesting that you say that it can actually help you build and maintain your muscles! Since we are trying to get stronger, this would be nice to have. http://www.phiittraining.com/about

Go to Graves disease and thyroid foundation. To test for Graves you first need a very low TSH and high T3 and T4. They will then look for certain antibodies that suggest Graves. Good luck.

I submitted my name and email address. They give you a referral code to earn points for a $20 gift card at Amazon. When I tried to share the link for the referral code to my Facebook acct. Facebook blocked me because of some sort of bad reports concerning that link for free info. reg. strength training. So, to be on the safe side…I did not open my email from that link and reported it as spam. I think it’s too good to be true. I should have known better. I’m sending this so that others may be protected if you can remove that link. If you know of any free strength training videos please let me know. I have no extra in my budget for anything except daily necessities. My mother was just diagnosed with Osteoporosis stage 3 and I wanted something to share with her also. I know I need the strength training because I am underweight and losing muscle mass due to Hashi’s, and at this point….probably Graves too. Thanks for the info. on Graves and strength training. It’s just what I needed. I am wondering though how does one know for sure if they have Graves? I have been seeing a lot of doctor’s due to the weight loss and will be seeing a new thyroid doc. the end of January. I asked The Thyroid Pharmacist Izabella Wentz the same question that I am asking you. I learned a lot from her, but still do not know how Grave’s is diagnosed. Thanks for your blog!!!

So much better balance and strength. Before I was doing isolated exercises at the gym but didn’t make near as good gains as I do now.. and the only investment needed was a pull-up bar at Amazon for 20$ =D
I’m following the routine over at http://www.bodyweightstrengthchallenge.com and have seen great results.

I’m not so keen on doing the High intensity ones though as I’m a bit of a “lazy” person =D

physical. This article has really explained why. I found it difficult to maintain the discipline3_4 times a week doing it at home by myself and now go to the gym group exercise program where I am doing the majority of the images depicted. This article is really reassuring. I am 60+ and Diabetic. Thank you
