I had lost my fractionated oil which is liquid even in winter when I was going to make this, so I just used regular coconut cooking oil. With this remedy if it’s below 25⁰C in the room and it has solidified on top, I put the bottle into warm water just over body temperature and it soon melts. Then I shake well and apply. I think it has maintained integrity, I keep the lid on while warming very gently so the volatile oils cannot escape, and I’m using it now 4 years later and still feels like it’s working although it’s been only two days.

You can’t get rid of a wart without affecting the skin around it surely, as there’ll be some of the solution spilling over. This treatment certainly burns a bit, probably mostly the apple cider vinegar, as I recall ACV alone to treat my wart was really quite painful. However the colleague who told me about it said it wasn’t too painful, so I guess results do vary, although I don’t think her warts were particularly established like my 6 year one. I think I have a high pain threshold, I was in labour for 1.5 days before I asked for any pain relief, but at times with ACV only I was barely able to use my finger. I guess the roots were deep. I fairly easily found everything on the internet to make the above recipe, I think the frankincense was the hardest. I have had tea tree oil for years, it’s never been hard to find, I’d probably use NZ ti/tea tree oil (manuka) personally having seen studies years ago showing a more potent effect than with the more commonly used Australian Tea Tree (melaleuca). Actually I currently have a combo oil of the two, which would probably work well here. Although I’ll admit I don’t know a lot about essential oils, but I have studied and worked many years in microbiology, and I feel that manuka has a more broad spectrum effect.

For cervical cancer? I wouldn’t think so. Hope you decided against it, and saw a doctor instead to treat/cure the cancer. Please don’t use this, it appears it’s only for external warts, which whilst being a major annoyance it doesn’t matter if you don’t get rid of them you just try something else. Cancer on the other hand, if home treatment doesn’t work, it’s life threatening.

That’s an entirely different method. This one you apply night and morning, and the essential oils help kill the virus, it is not a suffocation method. This method is more advanced. Most of us here have probably already tried the other methods too, we’re here as a last resort, sourcing frankincense oil seems pretty last resort to me, and wasn’t all that easy but I did it.

Apple cider vinegar method as you describe was not at all effective for me, neither were duct tape, liquid nitrogen, dry ice, TCA, salicylate, wart freeze solution, etc, etc. I also can’t possibly imagine there will be no scar, no matter the method, as my wart has been with me off and on (but mostly on) for maybe 10 years now. I also can’t imagine anyone caring about a scar, if their wart is finally gone for good, I certainly won’t care about that.

Yes to hold it on. I just use a very tiny wad of cotton wool, big enough to just cover the wart.

I don’t think I’d use a roller ball to apply, you’d contaminate the oil mixture with wart virus. Although on second thoughts maybe you’re just using that to apply to cotton wool? I’ve kept it beside my oven for around 4 years, probably not the ideal place but that was some place I’d see it daily and remember to use it. Also later was out of reach of my toddler. Just used it this week and it still feels effective, wart is tingling as we speak, aftrr two days application.

Cold sores are caused by Herpes Simplex Virus or HSV.

I know of no link, I have warts but have never had a cold sore or genital herpes (also caused by HSV) either.

Wart is back again, only now it’s a cluster. I did try this remedy, but then I got pregnant and stopped all except apple cider vinegar because I didn’t want to risk anything after 7 years of fertility treatment and two losses, that pregnancy being my last embryo, and I couldn’t find for sure that it was safe. Also it was hard to apply twice a day before that as I was working long hours, nights, weekends, and on call.

I remember being worried my two year old nephew would catch my wart because he kept holding my hand by that finger, he’s now about to turn ten! Time for this wart to go! I’m sick of it, tried absolutely everything now. I even had it frozen with liquid nitrogen at the doctor’s office. It fell off, two weeks later it was back. I can’t afford $20 every two weeks to get rid of it, not even knowing if that would work, so I’m revisiting the above method. Oregano oil is not, I understand it has antimicrobial properties, which I don’t think have been misrepresented here. Antimicrobial meaning it has been shown to have some effect against microbes, which could include fungi, bacteria, viruses, prions? Antimicrobial effect can imply a wide range of effects, not necessarily killing 100%, which indeed most (many?) antibiotics will not do anyway.

Where does it say oregano oil is an antibiotic, I don’t ever remember reading that here. Even if it had been when I originally read this article 5 years ago, pretty sure I would’ve remembered as I know full well essential oils are not an antibiotic. Still if I had a wart I’d tried everything else on, I wouldn’t care, I’d suck up what I as a scientist know about antibiotics, try it anyway and see for myself if it works. It’s not like cancer or smallpox where you might die if you use a treatment that isn’t effective, its just a wart. I do have a wart (now it’s a cluster) that resisted treatment over years, grows back worse each time, so I tried it. I used regular, couldn’t find my fractionated, but it goes solid on top under 15⁰C. I think it would be much better with fractionated. I store in a childproof glass medicine bottle and gently warm it in warm water before use with lid on.

Even rosemary and herbs have “oil” when properly handled to express its oil. Cold-pressing and distillation are effective ways to extract essential oils from plants. Your concern over “fat” should be put to rest.
